Car Aircon Regas Checklist
Before completing a regas, we check:
- System pressure levels
- Compressor operation
- Cooling fan performance
- Hose and connection condition
- Vent outlet temperature
- Signs of refrigerant loss
Our R134a regas service includes Trace-A-Gas leak testing to help locate refrigerant leaks before recharging.
A regas will only be carried out if the system is suitable for service. If a fault is found, we will explain the issue before proceeding.
Signs Your Car Air Conditioning Needs Checking
- Air not cold enough
- Warm air from vents
- AC only cold while driving
- Slow cooling in cabin
- AC stops cooling at idle
These symptoms can have several causes. An inspection helps determine whether your vehicle needs a regas, leak repair or another air conditioning repair.
Important Information
Car air conditioning systems are sealed systems.
If refrigerant is low, there is usually a leak or system fault.
A regas alone does not fix a leaking system.
We always test system pressure before recharging.
R134a Car Aircon Regas Cost
Our mobile R134a regas service costs $270, including a system inspection, Trace-A-Gas leak testing, oil top-up as required, UV dye and final cooling-performance checks.
We come to your home or workplace across Brisbane Bayside and Redland City.
If the system cannot be regassed or you decide not to proceed with a required repair, a $170 inspection and leak-test fee applies. Any repairs are quoted before proceeding.
